    Responsible for the nursing care of outpatients receiving infusion therapy in the Medical Infusion Center (MIC).  The MIC RN collaborates with a variety of office practices to provide care to patients referred to this department.


    The Medical Infusion Center (MIC) nurse is responsible and accountable for the delivery of safe, age specific, patient focused quality care and the management of the necessary material and fiscal resource to deliver the care. He/she uses the nursing process to determine, plan, implement and evaluate patient care outcomes. The MIC Nurse collaborates with a variety of office practices to assure the patient’s needs and care requirements are met for those patients referred to the MIC.


    The MIC Nurse respects the mission and philosophy of the organization. He/she participates in organizational performance activities that impact patient care. The MIC Nurse acts as a professional in the delivery of patient care. He/she respects the standards of care, nursing practice, corporate compliance and hospital standards.   



    • Registered nurse (BSN preferred)
    • Two years of nursing experience; Medical/Surgical nursing experience preferred
    • BLS required
    • Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Certification required within one year of hire
    • Infusion Therapy Certification preferred
    • Excellent assessment skills (previous experience in an Infusion Center preferred)
    • Flexibility, ability to function in a fast-paced department, attention to detail, computer savvy, excellent organizational skills
