  • Overview

     

    The Clinical Support Coordinator performs an important scheduling and clinical support function to coordinate patient visits and staff schedules, and to provide the manager with administrative support. The scheduler coordinates the individual schedules of home visiting clinicians to meet patient and organization needs. The position involves juggling physician’s orders, patient requirements, manager expectations, and individual clinician’s schedules. It requires an in-depth knowledge of Information & Clinical Systems, as well as excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.

     

     

     

    Responsibilities

    • Utilizes electronic medical record to schedule clinical staff patient visits
    • Works clostely with clinical staff and intake staff to coordinate and ensure all patient visits are scheduled and covered
    • Assists in prioritizing patient assignments, including coordination with Intake and department managers regarding potential add on visits or admissions
    • Communicates schedules and scheduling changes to individual clinicians and department managers

    Qualifications

     

    • Prior experience working in medical environment in a customer service or support role preferred
    • Medical terminology knowledge very useful
    • Strong computer skills and customer service skills required
    • High school diploma or equivalent
