Overview

This is a leadership position responsible for the smooth functioning of an assigned practice(s). This position will provide administrative leadership for assigned areas of responsibility based on the needs of the Mid Coast Medical Group (MCMG) as well as provide administrative support to the MCMG Practice Directors.  

The Practice Operations Director will function as a team member of the Mid Coast Medical Group to execute the goals of the office which are:

  • To deliver quality patient care.
  • To present a positive and respectful attitude to the community for Mid Coast Parkview Health and its subsidiaries
  • To operation the practice(s) efficiently with regards to income generation and collection and prudent use of resources.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and support to Practice Directors regarding projects and initiatives outside of day-to-day operations
  • Take ownership of organization-wide projects as determined by Senior Director and Medical Director(s)
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationship with Practice Directors and Physician Leads in all practices
  • Work closely with MCMG leadership team including identifying potential areas of concern, collaborating, brainstorming, and problem solving to ensure smooth operations of all practices
  • Develop supportive relationship with coworker(s) and rest of MCMG administrative team
  • Will oversee designated medical practice as assigned following duties which include, but are not limited to:
    • Oversight of daily operations, supervise staff, work with management and lead providers to ensure smooth operations of practice
    • Ensure fiscal responsibility including monitoring staffing budget, operations budget and capital budget as established

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Health Administration, Business Administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • Minimum 3 years related experience required; healthcare/practice administration
  • Minimum 3 years of leadership and/or management experience
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Thorough understanding and experience with all aspects of practice operations, including clinical and financial.
