The Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic imaging exams and procedures to assist physicians in the   diagnosis and treatment of patients.  He/she promotes patient safety, verifies identification prior to exam, verifies patient physician(s), assists Radiologists in fluoroscopy and sterile procedures, and ensures files are archived to PACS and completed properly in CPSI.  They are also responsible for maintaining facilities in proper working order. 


  • Prepares diagnostic exams as requested by referring physician and department procedure protocol.
  • Responsible for safe and proper use of radiographic equipment.
  • Responsible for proper patient care
  • Prepares and administers contrast media pr protocol and/or Radiologist.
  • Utilize proper imaging technique
  • Demonstrates dependability
  • Maintain clean, orderly, well stocked area
  • Meet educational needs of Modality, JCAHO and Stare requirements and departmental policy.
  • Competent in age specific development as evidenced by competency program for the population served as documented in the specific scope of service.


  • Graduate of 2-year JCERT approved School of Radiologic Technology
  • Current registration by A.R.R.T.
  • Current license by State of Maine
  • Current BLS certification
  • Active telephone
  • Valid Maine Drivers License
