Overview

 

The Housekeeper is responsible for the daily cleaning and supplying of resident rooms, wards, nursing stations, corridors, lounges, floors, bathrooms, offices and any other areas assigned. The Laundry Aide is responsible for the daily cleaning and distribution of all linens and personal resident clothing in the facility. The primary purpose of this position is to perform the daily activities of the department in accordance with current State, Federal and Local standards, guidelines and regulations governing the facility, and as may be directed by administration or the Facilities Manager to assure that the facility is maintained in a clean, safe and sanitary manner, and that an adequate supply of linen is on hand at all times to meet the needs of the residents.

 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Transfer or Discharge Cleaning; general room cleaning and sanitize equipment
  • Performs daily cleaning in assigned areas to ensure quality, timely service
  • Collect and sort soiled laundry, linens, garments, etc. and place in appropriate containers or assigned areas
  • Dry, fold, hang and sort laundry according to destination and deliver/distribute laundered articles to appropriate areas

 

Qualifications

 

  • Able to listen and communicate well
  • Possess a cheerful demeanore and positive attitude for dealing with residents
  • Physically aboue to perform all duties
  • High School Diplomat preferred but not required
