Overview

This position is shared position for the Community Health and Wellness (CH&W) and Registration/Billing departments.  These CH&W responsibilities include administrative support for hospital and community programming including scheduling, referral management, patient communications, projects, and day-to-day functions.  The Registration responsibilities incclude verifying insurance eligibility and performing patient registration for all wellness programs and other departments as needed. 

Responsibilities

  • Administrative support for Community Health and Wellness programming, including managing participating communications and registration, program calendar, and managing patient referrals. 
  • Grant management and support, including tracking staff work, coordinating and tracking grant expenditures, and reporting expenses to appropriate grant. 
  • Supporting department leadership by gathering and processing payroll reports.
  • Provides updated information of events and programming to the Marketing/Public Relations department.
  • Schedule and organize meetings and events.
  • Completes benefit eligibility investigation and prior authorization for CH&W programs when required.
  • Follows registration standard work proecdure for laboratory patients, CH&W program and pain management procedures. 
  • Responsible for physician referral line. 

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree or equivalent experience
  • Previous experience in secretarial, office work and basic office financial tracking
  • Proficient in computer skills, typing, communications, and basic office procedures.
