Measures and evaluates, in a home or boarding home setting, the language abilities, auditory processes, and speech production and/or treatment of persons with speech, language, swallowing and hearing disorders. Assists the patient in establishing the optimum communication system to express physical, emotional, and social needs.
Provides accurate, complete and timely documentation related to each patient according to agency guidelines and third party payer requirements.
Recommends/consults regarding augmentation communication devices which meet the specific needs of the patient population
Participates as agency liaison in training CHANS employees and in educating the community to the role & function of speech therapy.
